ELLE has teamed up with PZ Cussons (owners of St Tropez, Charles Worthington and Sanctuary Spa) and House PR to offer a 12-month paid internship.
So what will you be doing for the year? Well, the first four months will be spent with the communications team at PZ Cussons, where you will work on product development, digital marketing, charity-focused campaigns and high-profile events including London Fashion Week, the ELLE Style Awards and the Baftas. Michelle Feeney, CEO at PZ Cussons Beauty, told us, This is an incredible opportunity for someone with a real passion for beauty to get fast-track career experience.'
From there you'll move to House PR, working on accounts for brands like St Tropez, as well as T4 live events - a great way to experience how a fast-paced PR agency really works. Ginny Paton, MD at House PR, said, 'From drafting press materials, meeting journalists and working on shoots and large-scale events, [the winner] will see ideas develop from brainstorming to being placed in the national media. This is a fantastic opportunity to get a broad range of experience for someone who is passionate about getting into this industry.
The final four months will be spent on the beauty desk here at ELLE. The lucky winner will see the industry from the view of a journalist, learning just how the team pull together the beauty pages in mag each month and how products are researched, selected and featured within the worlds biggest-selling fashion magazine. The winner will also get the opportunity to become involved in wider aspects of magazine life by submitting ideas, attending press launches and contributing to the ELLE website.
For anyone who has ever dreamt of a career in beauty, this competition is a chance to be propelled into an industry that is incredibly hard to break into.
