The sultry actress, who's previous beauty CV includes being the face of Revlon, was in New York last night for the launch of the TV and print advert. 'I grew up with Angel' said Eva
. 'I remember thinking, as a child, 'That's what a woman smells like.' I'm the baby [in my family] by 10 years, and my sisters wore it. It comes full circle now that Id be the face of Angel'.
The ad campaign, due out in September, was conceived by Thierry Mugler
and orchestrated by Christophe de Lataillade, the brands artistic director. British director Baillie Walsh directed the film, while fashion photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin shot the print ads.
Eva isn't just the face of Angel, she is also starring in a new Pantene TV and print campaign, out in the US this July. Ironically, she will be starring alongside Naomi Watts
, who she usurped for the Angel gig
. 'The consumer is always seeking out the next best thing. Part of the reason we keep changing is to stay in front of that. Eva and Naomi will help us stay relevant', said Julie Marchant-Houle, marketing director, North America Retail Hair, and managing director, Global Fekkai.
