Every time Chanel takes over a city or amazing space for a cruise show, we take notice. Not only to the amazing destination - Cuba for this one - the beautiful clothes (this time, more often than not inspired by the city itself, but of course to the hair and makeup. So we ask you, what will be wanting from now on Sam McKnight? You have given us Chanel feathers, tweed dreadlocks and even hair croissants for this occasion, so we look to you to shape our future.

We need to take important note here, the venue was open to the elements - so the locals could watch - and the temperature was upwards of 35 degrees, with some serious humidity. This puts some costraints on the creative. Sam is a solutions man, he gave us boyish crops or messy knots under either classic fedoras, branded Che-Guevara-esque berets, or Chanel scarfs as bandanas. Practical and beautiful all at once.

Makeup artist Tom Pecheux kept the beauty look simple, elegant and quite individual. There were bold brows if the girls already had them, freckles showing through if they had those, and clean, healthy flushed skin all round. The glossy, gently bitten lip was a fresh finishing touch. This is a laid-back nod to individualism, heavy on the accessories (add to basket), and we love it. Hats off to you #ChanelCruiseCuba. Then back on again because they look so good.
