At 50-years-old Madonna has a figure most 20-year-olds would kill for, but is still sisterly enough to admit that she has to work really hard to maintain her body.
Madonna told ELLE she works out six days a week, regularly combining yoga, with the gym and working out with her personal trainer Tracey Anderson on a unique Hybrid Body Reformer machine, similar to a Pilates Reformer. Tracey uses it to keep muscles guessing by regularly changing the work-out routine so the body never gets used to one type of exercise.
Madonna simply does not allow herself to snack on treats and if she does indulge (she loves Malteasers) she works out extra hard to make sure the pounds don’t creep on. She rarely drinks, never allows her skin to be exposed to the sun and follows a strict Macrobiotic diet which is a combination of grains, pulses, fruit, vegetables and protein. The Queen of Pop also has regular energizing B12 vitamin injections, instead of slugging coffee to keep her going.
