Low Carb Diet

-
Put simply, the Low Carb diet bans all sugars and carbohydrates including those found in certain fruit and vegetables, including tomatoes and bananas. The Low Carb diet is a variation of the notorious Atkins diet launched in the 70s by Dr Atkins, the famous American cardiologist.

-
You'll initially see very rapid weight loss and it's an easy diet to carry out at home or when eating out.

-
There is a risk of quickly regaining the pounds lost, or even gaining extra weight if you re-introduce carbs. You can miss out on much needed fibre if you're not eating cereals and wholemeal bread. Not only this, the lack of fruit and vegetables can also cause serious digestive problems. Mental fatigue is common and, because this unbalanced diet is so restrictive, any deviation means you put weight back on quickly.
