When looking at the Château de La Colle Noire it's not difficult to see why it was once such an inspirational setting for the founder of one of the world's top fashion houses.

Dior was inspired by the exceptional horticulture of the area, which he credited for inspiring the scents of some of his first, and best known, fragrances such as Miss Dior, Diorissimo and Eau Sauvage, all of which continue to be popular today.

Fifty-six years after Christian Dior's passed, the Christian Dior Parfums brand have repurchased the castle and restored it, as per the designer's wishes. Three years later the Château has now been reopened, once again surrounded by the Grasse Roses loved by Christan Dior.

The Château will now be used to host friends and family of the Dior brand.

We're looking forward to seeing what Demachy produces surrounded by the scents that first inspired Christian Dior. Watch this space…
