Marc Jacobs Fragrances is opening a pop-up shop with a twist on Friday 15 August.
At the Daisy Marc Jacobs Tweet Shop (4 East Piazza, Covent Garden, London WC2E 8HD) no money will exchange hands. Instead, transactions will be based on social currency. Social currency, you say? To be able to ‘shop’ you need to use Twitter – tweets with the hashtag #MJDaisyChain will be your cash.
In the shop, there will be a lounge with a Daisy photo booth, free coffee and Wi-Fi (of course). To get your hands on the goods, all you have to do is tweet using #MJDaisyChain. Tweet a creative picture with the same tag and you’ll bag yourself an even bigger item. Plus, the most creative picture each day will be judged – the winner will get a Marc by Marc Jacobs handbag.
The shop will launch on Thursday 14 August with an exclusive party and ELLE has two pairs of tickets to give away. The winners and their plus ones will party alongside the stars. For your chance to win, simply tweet an inventive caption to go with the illustration, by artist Langley Fox, below to @ELLEUK using the hashtag #ELLEMARC. Team ELLE will select the winners. Closing date: noon, Tuesday 12 August 2014.
Want a sneak peek at the shop? Keep your eyes on the @ELLEUK twitter account next Thursday 14 as we'll be tweeting exclusive images of the shop before anyone else, that afternoon.
The Daisy Marc Jacobs Tweet Shop is open to the public 15-17 August, 10am-8pm Friday/Saturday and 10am-6pm Sunday.
