Today I reached my goal of 500 consecutive days of running (otherwise known as a Runstreak). I have run at least a mile every day for 500 days. The goal was to complete a year and then I thought ‘why not make it 500?’ Madness, I know. What started as a mile per day, grew to bigger distances – two half marathons (one in Paris), the London Marathon. Now I’m fitter than I have ever been and it all started with my goal of little and often.

But my feat is not quite as incredible as another Amy, Amy Hughes. She is currently attempting to run 53 marathons in 53 different cities around the country. Say what!?

Not only does it look like Amy has beaten the Guinness World Record for most marathons run on consecutive days (which was 17 set by Parvaneh Moayedi in Texas early last year) but she is raising money for The Isabelle Lottie Foundation that supports children who have been diagnosed with brain tumours, and their families.
