How many times can you run 10k in 24 hours? Okay, it’s quite possibly not something you have mulled over before. But the Adidas Thunder Run gives you the chance to answer that question. You can run alone, as a pair or in a team of five or eight (has to be mixed male and female) to complete the 24-hour challenge in the Staffordshire countryside.

The idea is that one team member must be on the course at all times, they must complete at least one 10k lap before they can swap with another member; the team who has banked the most laps when the clock stops is the winner.

The key to this race is teamwork. There is 24-hour hot food, fully marshaled route, water stations, hot showers, free camping and sports masseurs on hand. You’ll get a head torch to help you see during the night running.
