When juggling busy careers and lives, it's not always easy to find the time to hit the gym or prepare a healthy meal. For inspiration, we're asking influential women in a variety of industries to share a typical day of eats and fitness, to see just how they balance a healthy lifestyle with their jam-packed schedules. Today, we take a look inside the food and exercise diary of Kimberly Snyder, nutritionist and yogi, whose very high-profile client list includes Reese Witherspoon, Rooney and Kate Mara, and Dita Von Teese. In addition to juggling her clientele and overseeing her thriving juice bar in Los Angeles, Glow Bio, the New York Times bestselling author's third book, The Beauty Detox Power: Nourish Your Mind and Body for Weight Loss and Discover True Joy, is on shelves now.

"I get up (sort of) early—by 6:30 or 7 a.m.—and meditate for 30 minutes. Then, I migrate to the living room, and do my self-yoga practice on my living room floor for about an hour and a half. I'm done by 9 a.m. I shifted my yoga schedule to self-practice versus getting to the studio (and back) so I can have enough time for meditation, which is the key to keeping my whole life balanced! I practice Kriya Yoga Meditation, and if I for some reason skip it, I truly feel off. That reason alone is enough motivation to keep me on a regular meditation schedule."

"I start every morning with hot water with lemon, as I advise all my clients and readers to do! It's a great way to start the day on an up. Lemons support liver tissue, and are full of enzymes and vitamin C, while the hot water helps relax your gut and promotes more complete cleansing. I also religiously take two of my SBO Probiotics, which I believe are one of the keys to ultimate nutrient absorption, energy, and having awesome, youthful skin.

When I'm hungry (which sometimes is right off the bat), the first thing in my body is my Glowing Green Smoothie. I admit that when I'm in L.A. I've gotten pretty lazy, in that I pick them up from my shop on Melrose, Glow Bio. But when I'm traveling, I do always make them myself. One serving has over 9 grams of fibre (so it's not just a green juice, where the fibre has been stripped out). The fibre helps keep me full and gives me energy all morning. I don't typically have any caffeine in the morning—though I will say that if I have a meeting at a coffee shop, then I will enjoy a green or rooibos tea with some steamed almond milk (which I know is a luxury out here in L.A. to have access to, for sure)."

"By mid-morning, I'm usually hungry again, and here's where I love to binge on fruit. Today I had two bananas, a mango (I get them by the case from a guy that sells boxed fruit on the street a few blocks away), and some organic blueberries. Some other days I'll eat a big bowl of pineapple. I'm a huge fruit eater. I did have pretty severe Candida [ed note: that's yeast overgrowth in the body, which is believed to cause digestive issues] and was strictly low sugar to get rebalanced, and I didn't eat any fruit for a few years. But from taking my probiotics daily and balancing my system, I now handle fruit sugar really well and feel great eating a lot of fruit. I will emphasise though that if someone feels chronically bloated from fruit, their system may be compromised and needs to be rebuilt, or they may be practicing bad food combining."

"For lunch, back to Glow Bio! I often have meetings with clients in there, so it's just easy. Or sometimes, I grab food with my smoothies if I know I have a busy day ahead. Today I grabbed my Oil-Free Kale Salad and topped it with the Purple Cabbage Slaw, which is made creamy with a raw tahini-Dijon mustard-based dressing. It's a delish combo! There's avocado in the kale salad dressing, but on days like today when I'm super hungry, I'll top it with an extra half of an avocado.

An hour or two later, I had the Kimberly's Special Smoothie, which is based in coconut water, acai, banana, and bee pollen. I ordered it with double the bee pollen, plus maca and raw cacao, because…well, I love chocolate! It's my form of an energy milkshake. It rounds out the afternoon and makes me feel awesome, energised, and perfectly full."

"Dinner varies, but there is always a raw, enzyme and fibre-filled salad component to start off the meal. If I'm home, I'll make one of my recipes—usually one of the more simple ones—or just bake some mushrooms and veggies and throw them on a salad and call it a day. I love vegan ethnic food, so Rahel Ethiopian, Bulan Thai, and Paru's Indian are some of my faves in L.A. Today I'm having a girls' night with three of my girls, and we ordered vegan Thai from Bodhi Thai on Pico. We ordered the papaya salad, yellow curry, pad thai and basil-chili stirfry with broccoli, plus brown rice."

"At night, I love (love!) to end with sipping on my Nourish Your Nervous System Elixir, which is a new recipe in The Beauty Detox Power. It's fantastic to soothe your system and calm your nerves, to help pave the way for great rest. It's a mix of almond milk, cardamom, saffron, and some raw honey or coconut nectar. I absolutely love this evening ritual. Goodnight! "
