The move: One leg hip thrust

This hip extension exercise will work your hamstrings, glutes and extensors, with support from the muscles of the lower back. If you keep your posterior chain strong and active (squeeze your butt and engage your core), you will not only work out your bum, but also improve your posture and avoid lower back pain.

The difficulty level: The move itself is very straight forward, but what might get you here is balance. If you find it too hard to balance with your leg raised and straight, bend the leg that's in the air at your knee to help with your stability.
