We were sceptical when we were invited to try a four minute workout that guaranteed fast results. But being such budding sportswomen, we went along to test out Ministry of Sound’s brand new ‘Fit in 4’ workout. It does exactly what it says on the tin. It’s tough but we all agreed that in only four minutes, we felt as if we’d done a half hour workout and had the sweat to prove it.

Fitness presenter, workout instructor and new-mum extraordinaire Lindsay Jay was there to lead the way. The concept is simple and you can all do it from the comfort of our own living room. It goes like this:

Workout (hard, like really hard) 20 seconds

Rest, 10 seconds

Repeat eight times

We performed burpees, followed by running man and switched between the two but so long as you’re using your biggest muscles - think booty and thighs; you’ll get maximum fat burn. So clear a space, do a short warm-up and get the tracks.

The music was the best part of it as it handily is paced between highly intense beats and chillout vibes so you know exactly when to start and stop without looking at a watch. You download FIT IN 4 from Ministry of Sound on Itunes - it includes video instruction from Lindsay Jay.

Here's how it went down...
