Situated at the foot of the Swiss Alps, the pretty town threatens to slow runners down with its mesmerising Alpine views. Picture yourself sprinting from the historic old town through the lush green countryside as the floral banks that line the impressive Pont du Mont Blanc melt into one big colourful blur as you whizz past. Now, imagine the magnificent Jet dEau (the world's tallest water fountain) whooshing into view just as you make the final push towards the finish line.

Marathon 42.195km
Key event of the weekend, the Marathon offers a route of 42,195 km (26 miles) in the heart of Geneva. The course takes in both town and countryside.
Relay Marathon 42.195km
Following the same route as the marathon is the new 4 to 6 persons Relay Marathon. Run as a family, in a group of friends, or with work-mates, 6 runners tackle individual distances ranging from 3.5km to 10km to make up the total 42.195 marathon distance together.
Half Marathon 21.0975km
The Half Marathon offers a more urban route of 21,097km.
Wheelchair and handcycle race 20km
Night run 10km
Experience the city lights in this speedy night run.
La Genevoise 5km
This race is dedicated to women and takes runners on a route close to Geneva Lake for this 10th edition.
Junior Races 1km 5km
Children aged between 6 and 15 years old run on marked routes under the supervision of some members of the organisation.
10km Walking and Nordic Walking
Celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Geneva Marathon for Unicef, a new 10km race is open to walkers of all abilities, from age 16 and over. Take place at the same time at the 10km run, walkers depart a few minutes ahead of the walkers. A new 5km route is also open for participants aged 14 and 15.
Why Were Running: The ELLE Running Club have chosen the 10km night run to prepare us for the We Own the Night ELLE x Nike 10km which takes place on Saturday the 10
