Skin Brightening Serum, £43 by Nars Skin
I'm already a massive fan of Nars cosmetics, so it came as no great surprise that this silky smooth skin brightening face fluid worked a treat! Right from the first time I used it the shimmery texture made my skin look dewy and fresh, like I’d drunk litres of water and had the best nights’ sleep ever. The great thing about this serum was that it didn't have a strong scent and I could use it alone over cleansed skin, it was moisturising enough not to need to clog my skin with a moisturiser on top, I find a lot of serums aren't nourishing enough on their own. It’s a great base for make-up - my foundation didn’t budge all day and somehow looked more flawless than flawed, which is usually the case. After four glasses of wine the night before it also left me with the smug satisfaction of knowing that I certainly didn’t look anywhere near as bad as I felt. Not even close.
Best for: a dewy glow
Verdict: 5/5
