Twitter lit up over the weekend with posts celebrating the beauty and diversity of black hair.
It started after user @MelaninMamis created the viral hashtag #BlackHairChallenge encouraging black women to upload photos of themselves wearing four different hairstyles, showcasing the versatility of their hair. Countless women (and men too!) joined in to bless the internet with their beautiful takes on black hair. Stunning photos of braids, afros, updos, locs, and extensions flooded Twitter, and it was magical.
