Despite her brief foray into the world of platinum lobs - inspiring a frenzy of Selenators rushing to the nearest hairdressers to dye their hair bleach blonde - just mere months ago, Selena Gomez has changed up her look once again.

The vibe this time? A piecey noughties style fringe, with, dare we say, feathering, eerily reminiscent of a younger Selena circa 2015.

Stepping out at the Coach AW18 show at New York fashion week, Gomez debuted her new look, pairing the choppy fringe with extra long brunette extensions and a head-to-toe Coach ensemble. Well she is the brand ambassador after all.

Returning to her natural glossy brown hair colour, the 'Wolves' singer wore her freshly cut fringe and waist length extensions in soft waves for a romantic look that perfectly complemented her floral slip dress.

The 25-year-old turned to celeb hair stylist Marissa Marino for her throwback look who posted a photo of the new 'do on Instagram with the caption: '@selenagomez looking a lot like Selena Quintanilla today.....who else agrees?! 💃🏻 @coach #nyfw'

Marino's caption referred to the American singer Selena Quintanilla who was tragically shot and killed in 1995, and who inspired Gomez's own first name.

The Texan-born beauty isn't the only celeb getting in on the fringe action. Model and new mum Rosie Huntington-Whiteley revealed a brand new full fringe at the Brandon Maxwell AW18 show, whilst everyone from Emma Roberts to Emma Watson have officially made micro fringes a 2018 red carpet staple.

Call your hairdresser, because fringes are back.
