Kirby Grip Hair Art Is Officially Back Thanks To Kate Mara

Forget fancy pins and clips, all you need is your trusty kirby grips...

The most trusted item in our beauty arsenal, the humble kirby grip just became way more than our ballet bun flyaway saviour.

Yup, start hunting for those hair pins (in our experience your purse, bedside table and weirdly just hanging out in the corner of the staircase usually come good) because kirby grips just got a high fashion makeover courtesy of Kate Mara.

Stepping out at the 2017 Patron Of The Artists Awards in LA, the Fantastic Four actress just gave our regular lazy girl 'do a red carpet overhaul courtesy of a handful of kirby grips slotted ladder-style into a double knotted ponytail.

Think AW17's obsession with embellished hair accessories but with almost no effort at all - aka our new go-to hairstyle for going out out. A little bit fashwun and a whole lot practical (we dare you to frizz out now flyaways), Kate's hair accessory update is bringing back kirby grip hair art in a big way.

We haven't been this excited since we discovered we'd actually been using them upside down the whole time. Can anyone say game changer?
