1. Wear A Ribbon

If you managed to find an AW17 runway without a ribbon on it, well then we applaud you, because they were everywhere.

The easiest way to up the ante on short hair without blowing the budget, simply buy a metre of black ribbon from your local haberdashery (or Wilkos craft section) and pin at the nape of your neck.

Side burns optional.

2. Add Glitter

Only the hawk-eyed hair aficionados would have noticed Cara's subtle green glitter ombre down one side of her platinum pixie crop.

Created using graffiti hair artist (the guy behind these awesome hair looks) Daniel Moon's gel, recreate the look yourself with some hair gel and glitter mixed together.

Cara pixie crop lesson no.1: more is more when it comes to accessorising. In this case, why wear silver accessories on your hair, when you can paint silver leaf into it?

Creating a metallic flecked finish, Cara's silver leaf style can be easily recreate in two minutes. Just get your hands on some silver leaf from any craft shop and paint on using a small paintbrush.

5. Embrace The Spray Paint

2017 is officially the year of the buzz cut with everyone from Katy Perry to K-Stew, and of course Cara getting their hands on a pair of clippers.

The hottest way to add some glam to the situation? With a little spray paint. Whether adding rainbow patterns all over (like these designs), or painting on a few subtle silver leaf shapes a la Cara, it's the wash-in wash-out way to change up the colour of your buzz cut.

6. Go All Gatsby On The Situation

Ok you've cut your hair off, but that doesn't mean your styling days are over. If you've left the top long enough, why not go for a 1920's finger wave?

Too short still? A clip in hair piece is less scary than it sounds and means you can embrace your inner Great Gatsby just like Cara.

7. Think Pink

Proving there's literally no end to what you can do with a pixie cut, the genius behind Cara's transformations Mara Roszak gave the actress a pink and silver overhaul.

Fancy changing yours up? Go for a temporary solution with silver and pink coloured hair sprays or use a mix of silver and pink toners for a more long term colour.

8. A Beret Solves Everything

When in doubt, wear a hat. Because even pixie crops have bad hair days.
