Forget the irons for this Jil Sander look, blow-dry your hair straight. Then rub a little Redken Glass Look 01, £17.30 at lookfantastic.com, into your palms and run over the hair to ensure it is smooth. On the catwalk the partings were centred, but at home just part your hair where it naturally falls and loosely secure at shoulder length with a hair elastic.

Try the look at home by straightening your hair with irons (using heat protector beforehand is a must) but forget about that artificial length – just go with what you have.

'Like goddesses emerging from the water' was how hairstylist Guido described the look at Alberta Ferretti. He loaded damp hair with Redken Guts 10 Spray Foam, £11.15 at feelunique.com before brushing back with a wide tooth comb. After letting the hair air dry naturally he misted with hairspray and plenty of shine spray.
At Iceberg McKnight pulled hair into low ponytails, before looping the lengths back up, tucking in the ends and tying across the middle to create this unusual shape to the pony.

Massage some dry shampoo into your roots to get that airy, wispy texture. Twist your hair into a pleat and use a couple of Goody Modern Updo Pins (from Boots) to secure your chignon.
