Phillip Lim
The look: Floating knot
The hairstylist: Paul Hanlon
Key product: Tresemme 24 Hour Body Amplifying Mousse and a Mason Pearson Hairbrush.
Top tip: Prep damp hair with the mousse before rough drying with a hairdyer. Next, split hair into two sections and tie them into low a knot, fasten in place with a grip.
Peter Som
The look: Elegant braids
Hairstylist: Eugene Souleiman
Key product: Plenty of Wella Professionals Mousse
Top tip: Use three egg-sized dollops of mousse to slick back the top and sides before braiding the hair down the back. It should look handsome, yet elegant.
Marc by Marc Jacobs
The look: Ravers Mohawk
Hair stylist: Gudio
Key product: Redken Wind Blown Texturising Spray (out early 2015).
Top tip: It’s one of those deceiving styles that looks complicated but is actually fairly easy. Coat your hair with the spray to give it some texture which will hold the style, then section it off into four parts and tie them each into a rough, tight bun.
Misha NooNoo
The look: Romantic waves
Hairstylist: Matthew Curtis for Tresemme
Key product: TRESemme Volume & Lift Hairspray, £2.68, and TRESemme Texture Style Tousled Wave Spray, £5.50.
Top tip: Use a soft bristle brush and firmly brush down on the roots of your hair, then hold your hairdryer directly over to get a sleek, flat parting. To give the look a worn-in texture, spritz wave spray into the ends and shake out the curls.
The look: Plastic ponytail
Hairstylist: Guido for Redken
Key product: Redken Hardwear Gel, £11.85, slicked onto the roots and Diamond Oil Spray (out early 2015) on the ends to keep them looking healthy.
Top tip: The aim of this was to look a little futuristic but with the essence of a style women really want to wear. This ponytail was all about high shine and placement; a lower slung ponytail feels sportier and more androgynous.
Prabal Gurung
The look: Ruffled pony
Hairstylist: Paul Hanlon for TRESemme
Key product: TRESemmé 24 Hour Body Amplifying Mousse, £5.50, onto the roots of dry hair to give a sporty texture rather than volume and TRESemmé 24 Hour Body Sky High Plumping Powder, £5.50, on the ends of the ponytail.
Top tip: Apply the texture powder to the ends of your hair then tip your head upside-down and shake out your hair with your fingers before raking into the sporty pony.
TIBI
The look: Creative elastic
Hairstylist: Frank Rizzieri for Aveda
Key product: Aveda Pure Abundance Prep, £21, through damp hair and Dry Remedy Oil, £19.50, on the ends.
Top tip: Experiment with the humble hair elastic; here, it was used to flatten and hold the hair so at the front it looked really sleek without having to tie it into a style. An easy alternative for a plait or ponytail.
Suno
The look: Dual-texture braids
Hairstylist: Odile Gilbert
Key product: Kerastase Styling Form Fatale Gel, £15.60 (lookfantastic)
Top tip: The designers told Gilbert ‘It’s summer, we want wet hair, but maybe dry'.
'And I said why not both? When you swim in the sea you have both so why not mix those textures,' said Gilbert. Slick the hair back with gel on top, work the gel through but leave the mid-lengths to ends dry, then braid into a fishtail.
Diane Von Furstenberg
The look: Big 'n bouncy
Hairstylist: Orlando Pita
Key product: Biosilk Hairspray,£18 (lookfantastic), and lots of it.
Top tip: Take a two-inch section of hair and blow dry it around a thick round bristle brush. Whilst your hair is still hot wind it up into a curl and pin it onto your head to set. Once cool, shake them out.
Carolina Hererra
The look: Sumo knot
Hair stylist: Orlando Pita
Key product: Biosilk Spray Spritz Firm Hold, £12.90 (lookfantastic), and T3 Straighteners, £125.
Top tip: if you want to create that really sharp edge then take some extensions, tie them with an elastic at the top, soak them in hairspray and straighten over the top to get a sleek, blunt edge. Then clip into your ponytail and twist into a knot.
Donna Karan
The look: Rope braid
Hair stylist: Eugene Souleiman
Key product: Wella Mousse and two sets of clip in extensions.
Top tip: You wouldn't be able to do this by yourself it's like a box sticth (if you're crafty enough to know what that is), you'll need another pair of hands to help. Pull out sections around the hairline to make it feel more lived-in.
Badgley Mischka
The look: Bespoke colours
Hair stylist: Peter Gray
Key Product: Moroccanoil Styling Hydrating Cream, £23.75 (lookfantastic), blow dried into the hair and Treatment Light, £31.85, on the ends to finish.
Top tip: It took 10 hours to dye all of the hair extensions, each with a different swatch of clothing from the collection to complement. To recreate, colour a row of extensions with pastel dye and clip it into the underneath section of your hair so it just peeks through, giving flashes of colour.
Tory Burch
The Look: Wispy side part
Hair stylist: Eugene Souleiman
Key Product: Wella Ocean Spritz, £7.55 (feelunique), and a barrelled waving tong.
Top tip: After spraying on the product, massage it into your scalp to really work it in giving lift at the root. Take two-inch random chunks of hair and wrap around the waving tong to give natural movement.
Michael Kors
The look: Easy chic braid
Hairstylist: Orlando Pita
Key product: Orlando Pita Revive Instant Boost Dry Shampoo and Schwarzkopf OSiS Dust It Mattifying Powder, £31.25.
Top tip: Start with getting the airy, wispy texture by applying the texture dust in your roots and massage in. Next, spray the bottom two thirds of your hair with dry shampoo and scrunch in you hands. Sweep into a low-slung braid and loosen pieces around the hairline.
