Beauty Director Sophie Beresiner is in New York reporting on all the beauty looks from backstage at the A/W 2015 shows.
From the best hairstylists in the world - these are the stand-out looks you need to see.
The look: Sophisticated looped pony
Hair stylist: Guido for Redken and BaByliss
Key product: Redken Forceful Hairspray
Top tip: The modern way to use hairspray is this: spray your fingers then rake hands through the hair pulling it back from your face. It's not so heavy and the 'mess' adds to the ease of the look.
The look: Nocturnal goth
Hair stylist: Guido for Redken
Key product: Redken Diamond Oil
Top tip: Part the hair so the ears peak through. This is a look that works best for naturally dark hair so some of the girls dyed theirs black.
The look: Organic textured chignon
Hair stylist: Odile Gilbert for Moroccanoil
Key product: Moroccanoil Styling Gel
Top tip: This look is supposed to be organic so everything should be done with the fingers. No brushes!
The look: Boyish twists
Hair stylist: Orlando Pita for TRESemme
Key product: TRESemme Get Sleek Creation Spray
Top tip: I used the hairspray as a styling tool to smooth the ends, give shine and sleekness with movement.
Misha Nonoo
The look: Dual textured pony
Hair stylist: Ryan Tyrgstad for TRESemme
Key product: TREsemme Perfectly Undone Mousse
Top tip: The easiest way to get the look yourself (as the models did) is to slick the hair up into a hair elastic and then tong the pony, rather than tong it all first and then put it up.
The Look: Deconstructed pony
The hairstylist: Orlando Pita for TREsemme
Key Product: TREsemme Make Waves Creaton Hairspray
Top Tip: You want the hair to feel very undone and to play with the natural texture of the hair. Use hairspray as a styling tool by scrunching into loose hair with finger tips for a dishevelled loose finish.
The look: Bell pony
Hair stylist: Orlando Pita for Phyto
Top tip: Blow-dry the top smooth, gather into a pony and don't brush through the ends. This will keep it wide and create the bell shape
The look: Graphic T-parting
Hair stylist: Odile Gilbert for Kerastase
Key product: Kerastase Flexible Hold Hairspray
Top tip: Create a super low 90's style parting by drawing jg the comb back, then across in a T shape, the texture of the ends should be more textured and soft
BCBG
The look: Traveller texture
Hair stylist: Orlando Pita for TRESemme
Key product: TRESemme Make Waves Creation Spray
Top tip: The hair should be full of texture in a loose, unconstructed style. To add definition, spritz hair with hairspray and scrunch with finger tips for a dishevelled loose finish.
The look: Leather wrapped pony
Hair stylist: Orlando Pita for TRESemme
Key product: Get Sleek Creation Spray
Top tip: Wrapping a pony is an easy update to bring more drama to an evening look. The tight shape highlights the nape of your neck in a way that is subtly sexy.
The look: Super sleek side part
Hair stylist: Eugene Soulieman
Top tip: Natural hair is beautiful but boring. Create super-blunt ends to keep the look from being boring.
The look: Grunge girl
Hair stylist: Guido for Redken
Key product: Redken Frame Force Volumising Mousse
Top tip: Mousse is a very 80s product. You want the dry separation that mousse gives, scrunch it in with fingers then leave it for the rebellious texture.
The look: Flat, matte, faux fringe
Hair stylist: Paul Hanlon
Key product: Bumble & Bumble Does It All Styling Spray
Top tip: Really, it's just all about the hairspray. Lots and lots of hairspray.
