Kate Bosworth always looks polished and chic and we loved her take on the one-sided big barrel curls seen at Alessandro Dell’Acqua’s a/w09 show. Luigi Murenu, Global Creative Consultant at John Frieda, who created the look says, ‘the beauty of this classic look is that it suits all face shapes and hair types, softly framing and flattering the face. Be generous with product as the hair needs to be heavy to be moulded into shape. Apply mousse from root to ends and blow dry until 100% dry. Use heated rollers, winding sections of hair down either side of the head, and one row going backwards from the forehead, over the crown, down the nape of the neck. Remove rollers, loosen the curl by combing through with your fingers and crate a low side parting by tucking one side behind your ear.’
