Side sweep
From slick and sharp to soft and wispy, a side parting was the staple of dozens of looks. At Antonio Berardi, hair stylist Malcolm Edwards channelled a young Charlotte Rampling and created a look he christened ‘lived-in luxury’ – a soft, haphazard side part that gave way to a simple twist at the back. Kenzo and Dries Van Noten both followed suit, with the parting giving a more refined edge to the girly tendrils floating around the models’ faces. Side-sweeping the big, bouncy 1970s ‘dos at Chloe added sex appeal, while at Collette Dinnigan slick, low, 1920s-inspired partings echoed the dark, demure tone of the collection.
