If you didn’t believe crimping was back last season, now is the time to take note as both Givenchy and Karl Lagerfeld gave it centre stage. At Givenchy slicked back hair erupted into a cloud of voluminous frizz, while at Lagerfeld the crimp was given a playful edge with twisted sections on top of the head. At Jean Paul Gaultier, shape got extreme as hair was structured into huge textured quiffs that sat upright at the crown – for something a little more wearable look to Elie Saab where hair stylist Orlando Pita made an elegant statement with tight, neat chignons. If you don’t want to show off with your hair then do it with your headpiece and be inspired by Lanvin, where hair stylist Guido Palau sent models out with chic feathered headbands secured at the hairline.
