The New Beach Waves
Tousled waves are summer’s perfect go-to hair style and this season’s take has a luxe, polished twist. Seen all over the s/s09 catwalks, from Paul & Joe to Moschino Cheap & Chic, overly teased, salt sprayed locks have disappeared and in their place is a chicer look. Vas Karpetas, Creative Director at TOMMYGUNS says, ‘blow dry your hair with a large round brush, wrapping sections around the barrel. Hold and dry for a few seconds, then unravel the hair and comb through with fingers to break up the sections. If you find it hard to unravel the hair from the brush, try switching the hairdryer to cool and then unravel it.’ The ELLE team loves Clever Curls and Waves Texture Spray, £5.86 TOMMYGUNS, spray a little over the finished style to separate the waves and to add hold.
