Shine it seems is as ubiquitous with summer as flip flops and bikinis, with designers in every city showcasing masterclasses in poolside styles – luckily for us it couldn’t be an easier trend to follow. At DKNY pretty ponies were knotted into position high at the back of the head while the front was slicked with shine. And at Gucci low ponytails took on a more minimalist feel with a severe side parting and high lacquer sheen. At Maxmara models sported the best in beach beauty as oiled heads gave way to softer, salty lengths while hair at Marios Schwab had a similarly beachy vibe with comb marks added for extra definition. If you want to mix it up a little look no further than Emanuel Ungaro where super shiny heads were paired with elegant rope braids, a style sure to take you from a day at the beach to night time cocktails if ever there was one.
