Unassumingly sexy and effortlessly chic, this season saw a medley of artfully dishevelled styles. At Dolce & Gabbana , embellished gold slides dressed loose half ponytails, a hard edge to contrast with the soft flyaways escaping from underneath, while at Giorgio Armani hair was loosely pinned up into textured buns. At Chanel meanwhile, dressed down scruffy buns were studded with fine diamante pins and at Christopher Kane hairstylist Paul Hanlon’s flattened chignons were described as ‘fallen French Twists’, which had a luxurious silky texture to add an element of elegance. At Carolina Herrera , chic twists were woven with metallic strands to add a modern edge while models at Philosophy sported wispy worn-in topknots with strands falling out to prettily frame the face.
