If you needed further proof the world is having a ‘Mad Men’ moment then look no further than the AW10 catwalks. From the swishy, elegant ponytails at Louis Vuitton to the sexy, slept-in style chignons at Giambattista Valli , hair was resolutely polished, prepped and grown-up. At Chanel hair was teased into exaggerated styles reminiscent of Margaret Thatcher while at YSL models sported pulled back buns that sat high and defiant on top of heads, and at Loewe groomed sculptural dos complete with finger waves were the order of the day. It was Prada though that really showcased the look, there hair stylist Guido Palau created pristine, starchy beehives accessorised with knitted headbands, the perfect nod to ladylike glamour.
