London S/S 12 Hair Round-up

It's back! Wet-look hair looks set to be big next season. It started in New York with shine and evolved to full-on wet hair in London, in fact the hair at Giles was literally wet as Paul Hanlon sent all 40+ models down the catwalk with freshly washed hair that had been pulled into loose buns to form natural waves and pulled out in the line-up before they stepped out. At Antonio Beradi, John Frieda's Anthony Turner gave Veronica Lake-esque waves a tough, boyish edge by working Extra Strength Serum through roots. Luke Hersheson used L'Oreal Professional Gloss Control to give French Plaits a souped-up shine at Danielle Scutt. We love this wet-look, but it's definitely easier to pull off on holiday than in the office - you have been warned.

Side partings. Spring/summer is all about low, side partings. At Jonathan Sauders Paul Hanlon pulled hair into a sleek ponytail with pretty flyaways; while at Todd Lynn Cos Sakkas gave models sleek ponytails that were low at the nape, complete with side part. At Mark Fast, James Pecis created a faux bun (a look Team Elle hopes takes off in Milan and Paris; it's so beautiful we'll be wearing it come what may).
