Waves were undoubtedly the style of the season in the Italy’s fashion capital as wavy hair was seen everywhere on the catwalks from Blumarine to Versace . Some designers chose effortlessly sexy and dishevelled hairstyles, while at Emilio Pucci and D&G the look was softer, prettier and bounced with health and shine. To add edge to beachy waves, follow hair stylist Luigi Murenu’s lead at Max Mara – he gave this simple style a modern update by slicking and glossing hair to the head while lengths tumbled into tousled waves. Elsewhere knots and ‘tucked up’ styles dominated. At Versus up and coming hair stylist Syd Hayes showcased soft and pretty pleated up-dos, at Alberta Ferretti wet-look waves were pulled back and loosely pinned, while at Bottega Veneta wispy buns were accessorised with simple, graphic fabric bands.
