Ears were a common thread amongst hair stylists. Whatever the shape and finish (although it was invariably dry and textured), hair at Costume National , Kenzo and Givenchy was artfully tousled and tucked behind ears to create that nonchalant, undone feel.

Leaning towards an aesthetic rather than a style, designers in Paris this season showed a proclivity towards simple shapes. At Stella McCartney this translated as an easy, off-the-face knot while at Akris it appeared in the guise of smooth, ironed lengths complete with strict centre parting. At Issey Miyake hair was sculptural but still, cleanly pulled off the face in sweeping, elongated lines.

And so here we are; PFW is over and we find ourselves at the end of yet another season. Although it’s time to digest everything we’ve seen over the last month, we can’t help but remember all the gems that a week in the city of love gave us. Paris, je t’aime.
