This season a texture revolution was born and who better to kick it all off than the darling of fashion, Marc Jacobs . Backstage, hair guru Guido Palau whipped up 65 different shapes from spiky Mohawks to corkscrew curls and frothy beehives, an explosion of texture in homage to 80s club girls. At Prada, 40s land girls were the inspiration behind a softly structured nest of frizz while at Jean Paul Gaultier dry, matte lengths were piled high on heads in sculpted, sky-high structures. The crimp made a comeback at Karl Lagerfeld where sections of hair were artfully twisted around the crown but the prettiest incarnation of the trend was at Louis Vuitton . There, Palau triumphed again creating an elegantly lived-in, teased beehive with strands falling down around the face. Ooh la-la.
