Forget using that blinding little light on the back of your phone to help you navigate your way through your house after a night out, because we have found the solution. And no, it doesn't involve eating your body weight in carrots.

Behold, phoenix glow-in-the-dark hair.

Taking us back to our 90s rave days when glow-in-the-dark posters, shoe laces and bracelets were the craze, US-based hair colourist Guy Tang is showing us exactly how to transform lifeless coloured locks into a living lava lamp.

In a video posted to Instagram, Tang explains how he used ombre tones of fuchsia and orange to capture the look before adding neon, talking about dye techniques such as 'incubation', 'shadow rooting' and 'encapsulating' which doesn't exactly give us hope that this hair-dye job can be done from the comfort of our own bathrooms. It's safe to say you'll be wanting a professional.

'Imagine her in a spinning class with Black Lights on? She will be glowing! She looks like Rapunzel in #Tangled with Glowing Hair!', Tang captioned the video.

Well, at least it would give us something else to focus on other than our burning thigh muscles mid Soul Cycle.

Even in daylight, this look is giving us some serious inspiration to go out and look like a Powerpuff Girl-come-Drumstick.

As Tang would say, 'Yaaaaas'.
