In an ironic turn of events, ever since Cara Delevingne shaved her head, her red carpet hair game has been more on point than ever.

And last night's 1920s silver blonde finger waves at the premiere of the 24-year-old's latest film Valerian were no exception.

But hold on a minute, we could have sworn we spotted Cara front row at Chanel Couture with a bleached blonde buzz cut like a week ago? Correct.

So, unless Cara's got an A-list secret to growing her hair faster than you can say 'K-Stew who?', we're sensing a little hairstylist trickery is afoot.

Yup, we're talking hair pieces.

Singlehandedly transforming our opinion of hair pieces from a misguided Trump attempt at 'looking attractive', to the easiest way to nab Great Gatsby-esque finger waves, Cara's slick silver hair is a game changer.

Gelling down the sides and back of her grown out buzz cut, it looks to us like Cara's had a longer hair piece attached on a deep side parting to help create the vintage look.

Aka the easiest way to change up your buzzcut for a more glamorous event, or as we call it, going out out.

And Cara's not the first celeb to 'fess up to adding a hair piece to a red carpet hairstyle.

Known for her edgy multi-coloured pixie crop, actress and all round cool kid Ruby Rose admitted to wearing a hair piece to achieve temporary longer looks, telling ELLE US:

'My hair was super short then–that was just a hair piece, which always makes me laugh because so many magazines do this thing like, "You'll NEVER believe the transformation of Ruby Rose!" And it's like, that's clip-ins! Extensions! Those sew-in things.'
