A little over 24 hours after crossing the finish line of the London Marathon, I was lacing my trainers back up to run (hobble) my last mile. For those of you who don’t know, I have run at least 1 mile every single day for a year and tweeted my progress along the way @amylawrenson

I started it as a crazy challenge because I hadn’t managed to get into the London Marathon; a year on and I’ve completed both. In fact I’m still running every day (369 and counting…) because it’s become as much a part of my day as brushing my teeth. I may stop soon, only because it’s a little inconvenient and there are other challenges I want to master (a duathlon and to improve my weightlifting) but if I do hang up my trainers you’ll be able to follow four UK women who have taken up the #runstreak challenge since I started and tweet about their progress.

Follow them and virtually cheer them on…
