It's been a big year for selfies. This month the Oxford English Dictionary announced Selfie as its word of the year with its use increasing by 17,000% in 2013.
I love a selfie, so does Kim Kardashian. Where I compiled a guide to selfies for ELLE, Kim Kardashian filmed a how-to video for Extra.
Kim doesn't appear to have a selfie stick (tip nine in our guide). She does agree, however, that you need to hold your camera high, 'know your angle' (wise words) and think about lighting. Lighting is very important. So is a 'duck face' - 'I love that, it gives you cheekbones' she tells her friend Brittny Gastineau.
Oh Kim, we love your duck face too. Here Kim is showing her selfie skills off to make-up artist Pat McGrath and jeweller Lorraine Schwartz. They seem impressed.
