Pink is the new redAlthough there were still a few red pouts around – I particularly loved the hugely oversized ones at Prada – bright, matte (it has to be matte) pink mouths are looking very fresh for next summer.

Pink is the new redBuild up thin layers and define the shape well. Keep skin natural and sheeny for a young, modern take. Nars Semi Matte Lipstick in Schiap, £17.50, would be great for this look.

I thought the best take on bright was at Michael Kors, where Dick Page painted a line of either bright green for brunettes or punchy turquoise for blondes along the girls’ socket lines on an otherwise neutral face.

Charlotte Tilbury then bleached brows to intensify the look even more and, while this is definitely not a look for everyone, I think it can easily be adapted and toned down. For a more wearable version, skip the bleached brows all together and use a more defining plum or brown mascara to stop it looking too 'rabbit eyes'.
