Map your sun protection

Staying here for the summer? You still need to protect your skin from the sun. While it may not be sunny everyday, those harmful UV rays can travel through clouds and haze. Whether you’re on a staycation or just out-and-about, you don’t want to spend hours slathering on creams. Instead go for everyday products that contain the added benefit of spf.
It’s surprisingly easy to catch the sun in this country, especially on your face. Keep it protected with this serum from Estee Lauder. A must for bolstering your skin’s own defences, just make sure you still apply a spf on top.

Don’t forget your lips! Keep this balm with you at all times and reapply during the day. Top tip: make sure you apply this balm just slightly over the lip edge to ensure every last millimetre is protected.

If you wear foundation switch to one with added spf, that way every time you touch-up you’re also boosting your protection. This foundation may feel lightweight but the coverage is impressive. Also worth a mention is that whereas some tinted moisturisers can leave you shiny, this gives a velvety finish to the skin.

A cult classic, this is an everyday moisturiser with the added benefit of spf 30. Perfect if you want protection but don’t want to double-up with a sun lotion.

Crème de Corps spf 30, £26 by Kiehl’s

Another area, apart from your face and décolletage that is unlikely to be covered in the summer is your hands; which is one of the reasons we age faster in that area. Switch your everyday hand cream to this one from Neutrogena. With SPF 15 you can ensure your hands are protected, while soy helps protect from brown age spots.
