Catwalk Trend: Bright Eyes

Re-creating the looks from spring’s love affair with colour. Fresh, pastel shades dominated the catwalk and felt suitably seasonal with apple green and baby pink leading the way at Viktor & Rolf, frosted lilac at Marios Schwab and optimistic turquoise lashes framing eyes at DKNY.
At Versace layers of vibrant violet were built up along the lash line then blended out softly onto lids, while at Issa make-up artist Pat McGrath created ‘tropical storm eyes’ with shades of shimmering ivy blended up to brow bones. ‘When using such a deep, rich colour all over pull the shade right out into a wing shape to elongate the eyes’ advises McGrath.
Finally at Mary Katrantzou, burgundy was the surprisingly wearable shade of choice when juxtaposed with graphic black lines and at Jeremy Scott jewelled plum tones were made metallic and layered over black liner to add extra depth.
