Lipstick was back with a punch this season with shades seemingly inspired by a vibrant fruit bowl. At Prada lips were etched in vivid tomato tones while cherry got a look in at Dolce & Gabbana and raspberry ruled the runway at Bottega Veneta . At Christian Dior lips were drenched in juicy strawberry shades that added an edge of 40s glamour to the look and complimented colourful purple eyes. While colour was important, texture was crucial - crystallised pink lips made the biggest statement at Danielle Scutt but the chalky pastel pinks at Unique and neon oranges at House of Holland were also highlights. At Marc Jacobs lips took on a theatrical edge as make-up artist Francois Nars created crisp outlines which he then filled with creamy shades of blackened red.
