Diane von Furstenberg
You can’t get more festive than red lips at Christmas and, as luck would have it, they’re the biggest beauty story of the season. Although you might think there’s not much to creating the perfect red lip, A/W11 proved just how versatile they can be, from the creamy, crimson versions at Diane von Furstenberg to Gucci’s luxe, vermillion offering. Sonia Rykiel and Temperley showed off classic incarnations by pairing them with taupe shadow and neat chignons respectively, while Giles and Hakaan erred on the side of minimalism with crisp, classic red shades presented on stark, polished faces. If you prefer your lipstick with a hint of pink try Missoni’s raspberry red which added warmth to nude faces. Finally, if you’re not brave enough to try bold colour then look to Ralph Lauren who adorned faces with pretty strawberry stains.
