The canvas for every look this season was perfectly finished skin that glowed with health and radiance. At Chloe , make-up artist Diane Kendal sculpted faces in sheer foundation and rosy cream blush for a fresh, luminous effect. While at Gucci , make-up supremo Pat McGrath banished shine and evened skin tone with the help of ultra fine powders. Carefully placed highlights took models’ skin from simply nude to perfectly polished at Julien MacDonald and Pringle , where pearlescent oyster sheen was smudged around temples, cheekbones and down the bridge of the nose.
New textures proved their weight behind the scenes too, with gloss and waxy balms the new must-haves. At Alberta Ferretti and Missoni , make-up artist Lucia Pieroni pressed clear gloss on to eyelids and cheeks for a dewy, humid skin finish.
