Work the English Rose look, as seen on the catwalk at Sonia Rykiel, with soft pink cheeks (a crème blush will look fresher than powder) and bold, yet soft, pink lips (smudge lipstick on with your finger and finish with a little gloss).
This look isn’t just for fair skinned beauties as the models at Peter Som proved. Pink works well on tanned and darker skintones too - just keep the look modern with a dewy base. At Emanuel Ungaro, Mac Lipstain in Crushed Bougainvillea gave both lips and cheeks a subtle glow and Alberta Ferretti’s models showed how the look can be translated for night with vibrant lips and sultry eyes, ‘It’s a summer evening look’ said Mac make-up artist Lucia Pieroni. Lips were buffed with Mac’s Lip Pencil, £8.81, in Burgundy, ‘so you get a lot of colour without a lot of product’.
