Burnished metals added a rich, smouldering finish to faces this season. From the palest platinum shadow at Peter Pilotto to lush bronze tones at Julien MacDonald , make-up artists turned to varying hot metal shades to adorn faces. At Anna Sui touches of bronze in the inner corners of eyes provided a welcome change from pale gold and added a sultry highlight, while at Prada make-up artist Pat McGrath experimented with molten silver lids to add a futuristic feel to nude faces. At Emporio Armani pewter was the metal of the moment daubed as it was across lids in a smudged wing, while at Nicole Farhi shimmering silvery eye shadow danced like pools of water under the catwalk lights. At Rodarte make-up artist James Kaliardos played on the versatility of these opulent metallics and used coppery tones to embellish lips and gold to add radiance to lashes instead.
