At Costume National CNC make-up artist Sally Branka injected elegance into a punky ‘club kid’ look with wet-look sapphire eyes, while at Prada an austere collection was given a lift with burnished ruby lids that twinkled with glitter. Nothing says eighties decadence like red lips. At Moschino make-up artist Val Garland gave models crisp crimson mouths, while at Iceberg glossy red pouts added vibrancy to a nude face. At Dolce & Gabbana lips were painted in a deeper, blood-red hue to offset full brows and winged liner. If you’re not a scarlet woman then look to Alberta Ferretti where make-up artist Lucia Pieroni went for a bright pop of colour with Blondie-inspired fuchsia lips. And it seems the trick to getting this look right is lip liner.
