New York s/s2010 make-up trends round up

Two big make-up themes emerged on the New York catwalks for s/s2010. At one end of the spectrum was bold bright colour, from rainbow eyes and punchy orange cheeks at Derek Lam to turquoise lashes at DKNY and cheery fuchsia lips at Marc by Marc. At the other end, beautifully contradicting this vibe, was a muted palette of sophisticated shades from the earthy terracotta tones at Diane Von Furstenberg to Thakoon’s toffee and mink washed eyes. Both trends work well on crisp spring days and with golden summer skin - so try them both and alternate depending on your mood.
