Beautiful skin is usually the staple of gorgeous make-up looks but this season it was a trend in its own right with designers showcasing models with gleaming cheekbones and iridescent temples. Creamy textured, sheer highlights were patted on to accentuate bone structures and embellish features, at Antonio Berardi skin had a natural dewiness with light hitting cheeks, chin and foreheads while at Holly Fulton skin was enriched with expensive, creamy looking highlights that chimed well with the lush, bronze palette of the show. Nicole Farhi’s models meanwhile sported silvery slivers along noses and on cupid’s bows and at Dolce & Gabbana , Versace and Philip Lim flawless complexions that radiated health were the main focus. At MaxMara faces were turned into completely nude canvases devoid even of any sheen, but buffed to perfection for a seamless, perfected finish.
