Lily Aldridge's Beauty Routine - Ballet, Braids, And Gold Brows Included

We caught up with California-born model and Victoria's Secret Angel, Lily Aldridge to chat squats in the kitchen, best ever beauty tips and why gold eyebrows are the best eyebrows...

The best make-up tip...

...I've picked up over my career would definitely be less is more. Especially when it comes to a day look. You don't need as much as you might think.

One of my beauty favourite looks ever...

...were the gold brows I wore to last year's Met Gala with Michael Kors. At first I wasn't sure and deliberated over them for an hour in the mirror, but I'm so glad I did it in the end.


My go-to exercise of choice... Ballet Beautiful. I'm always travelling so it's great for my lifestyle as I can do classes on Facetime with my trainer or go on her website and watch a video. It really works for me.

If I'm stretched for time...

...I'll do squats in the kitchen when I'm getting meals ready. Or arm lifts for 2 minutes - just pulsing weights is really good for toning.

When it comes to hair...

...I keep it simple. I add a little bit of water with some salt in a spray bottle, spritz it on and then put my hair into braids. When I take them out I'm left with a really nice natural wave and great texture.

Perfume is such an important part...

...of a beauty routine. Even with a red carpet look, it's all about fragrance. My favourite is Michael Kors Wonderlust. I did a campaign for him so I was lucky enough to get a bottle. I'm always drawn to florals, and this one is a little sexy too. Perfect for Summer.

If I could go back and give my teenage self one beauty tip... would be to wear sunblock religiously. I wish I could go back and just pour sunblock all over myself.

My go-to smoothie recipe... almond milk, blueberries, strawberries, banana and protein powder.

To relax I swear by...

...Epsom salt baths - they're also great for drawing out impurities and detoxing.
