From Lily-Rose Depp to Brooklyn Beckham, being the child of famous (and genetically blessed) parents often leads to a modelling contract. The latest addition to the club? 16-year-old Iris Law, daughter of Jude Law and Sadie Frost. She's not the family's first model, either–before getting into acting, Frost started out as a model, while Iris's 20-year-old brother Rafferty Law just starred in Dolce & Gabbana's spring 2017 campaign (oh, and Kate Moss is her godmother).

Iris herself is starting out with a bang–she just landed her first major beauty campaign as the face of Burberry's new Liquid Lip Velvet collection. In the ads, she wears her current favourite among the line of 14 matte cream colours, Oxblood, a "more shocking" deep burgundy shade she'd reserve for "dinner with my family or going to a birthday party."

Ahead of her debut, we called up Iris in London to get to know more about her minimalist beauty routine, ahead:

On her beauty philosophy:

"I'm probably somewhere in the middle [between high maintenance and low-key]. I love dressing up to go out and experimenting with looks, but at the same time, I don't always have to have a full face of makeup."

On her "night out" look:

"I definitely do try and experiment before I'm going somewhere special, if I'm shooting in London that day, or usually when I really like the outfit I'm wearing, I'm might try and create a look that will go well with the outfit I'm wearing. I'd probably keep it quite dewy and glossy and not use full coverage—it looks like too much. Just mascara, maybe blush, and a lip."

On how her background in art/photography inspires her beauty routine:

"With colour, it makes me really like to match my lipstick or eyeshadow with my outfit and coordinate whatever I'm wearing, in some way, with my makeup. I just make it neater [to apply makeup], probably. Doing lip liner and stuff, I think I do that quite easy after practicing."

On her hair:

"I've never really done anything to my hair. When I was younger it was quite short, but then I think [ages] 11 to 14 it was growing longer and longer and I just cut it. [Short hair] is just so easy. It feels so healthy and I just think it suited my face and I was never really happy with it long and down my entire back."

On beauty luxuries:

"Obviously, like most girls, I enjoy getting a manicure and facial. [I do them] not too often. What I found really lucky for me now is that they often do my nails when I go to a shoot. I'll be thinking, 'I really need to get my nails done. They're looking shabby.' And then the next day, I'm like, 'Oh! They're done.' I'm just trying to do my own little facials, like steam my face with hot water, coconut oil, and just make myself feel very fresh, but I don't get regular, regular facials."

On her beauty inspirations:

"I don't really have specific beauty inspirations. When I'm looking through photographer books or magazines or even Instagram, I just get inspired by the actual images or different things people have tried. I just like taking everything and I've used things that I've seen in my art. [One of my favourite photographers] is Rankin. I've got a book of Rankin on my kitchen table, which has my mom in it, so I look through that."

On her must-have beauty product:

"Definitely lip balm because I can use that on my cheekbones and on my eyelids to really moisturise. Last year, I felt like the style was matte [skin] but now this year, I think [the style is] quite glossy and dewy. I enjoyed [it] because I always put lip balm on my cheeks and eyelids. I think I made that up! I just started doing it in school, because I don't really wear makeup when studying."
