One thing we know for sure is that lashes are big beauty news for 2018.

With falsies being applied left, right and centre backstage everywhere from Ashish and Halpern, to Ryan Lo and Anna Sui, extra long, fluttery eyelashes are officially back.

But, let's be honest, when we do actually bother to get the glue and tweezers out, we're working with a pair of thick, plastic finish spider leg lashes housed in a cheap plastic box we blindly picked out in Superdrug.

Natural looking, come hither lashes they are not.

Until now. Winning at life once again, the internet has gifted us the best beauty hack we've seen for a long time. We're talking a one step trick to transforming £3 false eyelashes into the feathery, fluttery mink lash extensions of your dreams.

Courtesy of Mexican make-up artist Paloma Garcia, the genius hack requires a clean mascara wand or eyebrow spoolie and... nope, that's it.

Taking Twitter and Facebook by storm, the video of Garcia shows her roughly brushing a pair of high street store false eyelashes left and right until they magically look like seriously expensive wispy extensions.

So simple, but so effective, Garcia brushes the synthetic lashes until they're fluffy and separated with a much more natural finish and serious curl.

Impressive from the front, just wait for the game changing side view. Our minds are genuinely blown.

And the rest of the internet is here with us, with beauty bloggers and fellow muggles alike losing it over the false lash hack.

Money on lash extensions saved = a totally valid reason to buy that Jacquemus top. Now that's beauty maths.
